With two rounds remaining to be played, Iranian top player, GM Ghaem Maghami Ehsan (photo), is in best position to claim the tournament as he is holding a half point lead ahead of GM Sandipan Chanda of India and GM Rahman Ziaur of Bangladesh. Ghaem Maghami played a brilliant endgame to beat GM Dao Thien Hai in Friday’s round 7, while Rahman helped him by dispatching the young Chinese Xiu Deshun.
